The Fair and after…

You know that tendency that exists in life, whereby one thing leads to another???  It was in full play the night we went to the Troy Fair.  As you may know from reading my previous blog entries, I have a mini-schnauzer puppy that’s a part of my life.  Although Mini-S’s are cute, cuddly and totally devoted to their humans, they can also be stubborn and quite anxious.  Mine was both the night of the Troy Fair.

The following pictures chronicle just a small glimpse of what went on in our world that night…

It all started out fine with a nice drive and a short wait in line at the fair entrance.  Note:  the sign says NO PETS.  Hence, our decision to leave Mauser at home.

Once we were in, we spent some time seeing the “stuff” we like best:  the photo exhibit, the fine arts exhibit, the hunting/shooting exhibit, and the 4H and gardening exhibits.  Next, we made our rounds to the food booths, had supper and chatted with some friends.  still going fine at this point…

It’s not until later, after we return home that we see what the Couch Muncher has done…

Here, Matt demonstrates the damage one little pup can do to a big, ole couch.  Only days before this I was telling my gang that I wanted to replace the worn out hide a bed sofa for a new, lighter version.  Just before this picture was snapped Matt said, “I guess you’ll be getting your wish.”  Yeah, i guess so!

looking all innocent and demure.  You can see why I put up with him.  How cute it that?  Once we are safely at home, giving him our fullest attention, all is well.  He isn’t spoiled, is he?  Nooooooo.  Never!

Lesson learned.  Next year this adorable little ball of fur gets crated during Fair Week.
