Stronger Than You Think You Are

How long has it been since you took an internal, personal, and honest inventory of yourself?

How long since you’ve looked at your talents and abilities and made a conscious decision to turn them all over to God, to use as he will?

How long since you considered your shortcomings, and asked God to help you change a few of your more egregious habits?

How willing are you to let go of self and fully embrace the “experience” that is Salvation?

We all have a lil somethin’, somethin’ to give to the Lord that until now we’ve been holding back. We all have a treasure, set in clay.  We are storehouses for God’s glory, but like the priests of old discovered when cleaning out their Temple, some of that glory has been hidden away from view for so long we’ve forgotten it’s there.

Upon conversion, God filled us with resurrection power.  The truth is, we are all stronger than we think we are!

So what are you waiting for, my friend?

Why are you holding back?

The starting pistol has already sounded.

Others are already out of the gate.

The race is afoot, and Jesus is on the side lines cheering you on.

Don’t be timid, don’t wait.

Hurry, catch up.

Don’t worry that you’ll lose momentum or finish behind others. It won’t happen.

Remember: Jesus gives power to the faint, and he increases strength and stamina for all those who rely on him. You have everything you need to make it across that finish line.

What a shame if you never run.

The power and the choice is yours. Run, Christian, Run.

Make Jesus proud!

He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might, he increases strength. Isa 40:29
