Prayers and Promises

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Never underestimate the power of a single prayer. Mark Batterson

Have you ever heard of MANA?

MANA is the brain child of Mark Moore, a man who had a vision to help the malnourished children of the world. In the most basic terms, MANA provides peanut paste filled tubes to the people of third world countries, and by doing so has launched an initiative that has flowered into the greatest attack ever on malnutrition and the needless death it brings. The idea for this life-saving product was conceived in a coffee-house. Talk about humble beginnings. Isn’t it amazing what our God can do with an idea, a prayer, and a willing participant?!

What have you been dreaming about that could make the difference for others?

Within the boundaries of every church wall in America is someone who wants to reach beyond themselves to help others. That person or persons is willing to suffer the disapproval of others, turn their back on the gazillion reasons why the idea might not work, and circle the promise God has given them for a better tomorrow until tomorrow is today.

Like Joshua outside the walls of Jericho, they believe it can happen and persistently circle the promise until the walls standing between them and their vision come crumbling to the ground.

What are you believing in today?

What have you committed to prayer, asking God to make it a reality?

How long are you willing to work to see your dream or promise appear? How long?

Nolan Bushnell, the creator of the Atari video game system once stated, “Everyone who’s ever taken a shower has had an idea. It’s the person who gets out of the shower, dries off, and does something about it who makes a difference.”

Prayer Changes Things!

Remember to take your dream to God today, in prayer. Who knows where it might lead? The Universe turns on God’s say so, you know that right?  What won’t He do for those completely committed to Him?

How can I pray for you today?
